Austria: International week UAS Technikum Wien

On behalf of University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, we cordially invite you to our International Week 2025 on Empowering Connections, Engaging Beyond the Campus from May 12-15, 2025.

Third mission and community outreach are vital for transnational cooperation in higher education as they foster collaboration beyond academic boundaries. By engaging with local communities and international partners, institutions can address global challenges and promote social responsibility, which goes in line with the motto of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien: Change our tomorrow. Outreach enhances knowledge exchange, encourages diverse perspectives, and builds trust, creating a more inclusive and equitable educational environment. Ultimately, it empowers institutions to contribute meaningfully to societal development while strengthening international ties and promoting cultural understanding. Change our tomorrow, together!

CALL FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION: INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS (90 Min.) OR SHORT INPUT SESSIONS (10 min.)
If you would like to showcase some best practice examples from our institution, you are invited to suggest an input on the following topics when you register:

• Case Studies of Successful Outreach Initiatives
• Identifying Community Needs: Tools and methodologies for effective community engagement
• Science Communication
• Sustainability and Environmental Awareness
• Social Innovation
• Education for All (e.g. universities as training centers)
• Economic Development (universities as entrepreneurial and economics boosters)
• Health Promotion
• Cultural Participation (universities as network enablers, cultural and social enrichers)
• Digital Transformation
• Other

REGISTRATION
First sign up via the form on the right for coordination by Fontys ICT internationalisation team. In general we can send up to 2 colleagues to a partner university. 
After an approval you can register for this event until January 30th, 2025 at: https://www.technikum-wien.at/registration-international-week/.
UAS Technikum Wien is pleased to offer an optional train excursion to either Salzburg or Bratislava (costs to be borne by yourself), leaving the choice entirely in your hands. The destination receiving the majority of votes will be selected.

Please note that they also will select participants on a first come first serve basis. Max number of participants: 40. Please note that this week could also be eligible for funding via Erasmus+ to coordinate by Fontys ICT.

Part of the program is still under development and will benefit greatly from your valuable input.
