For Fontys ICT
We have invited all students who have been abroad last Fall semester for their minor for a Welcome back meeting at Fontys at the beginning of this new semester. About 20 students could be present, unfortunately not all students because of their graduation internship ánd the strikes in public transport.
There was a plenary welcome and information on how to obtain an Edubadge Global Acting. The programme itself mainly focused on the student experiences.
The pilot will definitely be followed up for a wider audience.
Students shared their experiences per partner university, individually or with fellow students, which became a 'journey around the world'. So we heard great stories about the distant destinations like USA from Merijn (Southern Utah University), Canada from Mark and Stijn (Humber College), Japan from Mikey (Musashi University) and South Korea from Joris and Fabio (Myongji University) and Kevin, Lars and Asel (Dongguk University). Also on partner universities within Europe as Finland by Sanne (JAMK UAS), Denmark by Kareem (KEA Copenhagen), Spain by Viktor (Vic University) and Reinout (Universitat Rovira i Virgili) and Czech Republic by Kristiyan (Technical University of Sofia).
Students were curious and patient to listen to each other's experiences until the end. Concluding with networking drinks and taste of delicious Dutch "bitterballen" again.
