Recap by Dimitar Barev, SE student
A week of tasting whisky, meeting friendly people with kilts, and developing your own brand of whisky. As interesting as it sounds, I am glad to have some of the most compelling places around Scotland visited.
Talking about the project itself, I worked with people with immense diversity of skills from very different fields. This way we were able to define plenty of tasks related to the process of developing ‘own’ brand of whisky with supporting financial analysis, marketing strategies, targeted audience, flavors, story and even a packaging. I must be honest when saying that the time was really breathing down our necks. I was the main pitcher of the project in front of the ‘stakeholders’ which was a nice practice for my presentational skills.
Besides the project, there was plenty of time to learn how to learn a couple of words in Gaelic, chit-chat with students from different universities in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. I found enjoying myself with all the people I was able to interact with. Even after the project we brought our newborn companionship to Edinburgh for 2 last days of thorough exploration of the city gems. At the end we all agreed that we should have stayed some extra days on the land of the bagpipes.
