Whether you are going to look for an internship or you are graduating abroad, it is very important to use your network on time. The strength of your own network is huge.
At Fontys ICT there are barely any fixed contacts with internship companies as we have in the region. You need to do a lot yourself to find a suitable place and a good assignment, so networking is a must. Deal with this creatively and tell your surroundings about your plans, both within and outside Fontys. Find people and starting points to bring you into contact with a potential internship company or regional businesses with international connections. The network talks with your contacts at school and also privately can inspire you. People are happy to think along with you and will probably give you some creative ideas.
When contacting a potential internship company you can use the setup profile of an IT students by Fontys ICT, so the new company learns more about our vocational education and HBO-ICT in specific.

Fontys ICT has been accredited by the Dutch government with an Excellence as the only IT University of Applied Science in the Netherlands. We are located in the south of The Netherlands in a very high tech environment with partners in education such as Philips, ASML, Paccard. Competencies
On IT competencies our students learn to analyze, advice, develop, realize and control the total life cycle of IT. All our students learn to program with an approach that is required for their business skills. Our students differ from IT & Technology, IT & Software Engineering, IT & Business and IT & Media Design. They can specialize in a variety of innovative programs such as: Serious Games, Lifestyle, Cyber Crime, Big Data, Business Intelligence etc.
Soft Skills
What could make our students of special interest for your company is their distinctive soft skills. Our students are used to work in intercultural and multidisciplinary groups. They are very cooperative and used to work in project groups on real assignments for Dutch companies throughout their full Bachelor Program. They come with an open mind and are trained to be inquisitorial and thorough. They are used to take initiative and don’t hesitate to ask a lot of questions until they are fully satisfied wit the quality of the result. They have outstanding communication and entrepreneurial skills.
